wouldn’t it be just the biggest plot twist in the world if the doctor regenerated into 12 and turned out looking like the master
there was never another timelord that survived the war, it’s always been just him and that drove him insane.
Two doctors on a British Airways flight performed a surgery on a woman with a collapsed lung by using a urinary catheter, a wire hanger, a half-filled bottle of Evian, and some 5-star brandy from first class. They not only saved her life, but she was back to normal within 15 minutes. Source
i love seeing girls close ranks when their fella is cheating, instead of defending him and attacking the other girls. like seriously. it warms my cold, cold heart so much.
i need the rest of this story, where did you put the body
A young Jewish refugee with her Chinese playmates. Shanghai, China (x)
Between 1933 and 1941, it is estimated that 20,000 Jews escaped persecution by fleeing to the Chinese port of Shanghai. Shanghai was one of the few places in the world that would accept Jewish refugees at this time, Japan being another.
i am furious that i am just now learning about this important fact.
Because it has nothing to do with the USA being the superhero and saving all the Jews
- If you are HIV-negative, PEP and PrEP can help you stay that way.
- If you are HIV-positive, PEP and PrEP can help protect your partners.
PrEP is a daily pill that can help keep you HIV-negative as long as you take it every day.
- Ask your doctor if PrEP (Pre-exposure Prophylaxis) may be right for you.
- Condoms give you additional protection against HIV, other sexually transmitted infections, and unintended pregnancy.
If you are HIV-negative and think you were exposed to HIV, immediately go to a clinic or emergency room and ask for PEP (Post-exposure Prophylaxis).
- PEP can stop HIV if started within 36 hours of exposure.
- You continue taking PEP for 28 days.
Many insurance plans including Medicaid cover PEP and PrEP. Assistance may be available if you are uninsured. Visit NYC Health’s website to find out where to get PrEP or PEP in New York City.
This is such a giant step that barely any people know about it seems, so amazing to see progress in the treatment of HIV
I honestly thought this might be exaggeration but the CDC says that PrEP is 92% effective. Damn. Damn.
reblogging because this deserves waaaay more attention D:
Rolly Crump explaining the “Museum of the Weird” attraction. In one concept for the Haunted Mansion, the main walk through (this was prior to Doombuggies) would take guests through the mansion, while a spillway area would house the Museum of the Weird. The queue would go through the Museum of the Weird, letting guests experience the effects. Other plans called for the area to be a themed restaurant like the Blue Bayou.
Rolly Crump worked with Yale Gracey on a number of the practical effects, including the organist above. After Walt’s passing the Haunted Mansion project was reworked and the Museum of the Weird was removed. Some of the effects that Crump and Gracey were still used for the final attraction.
You can read a great article on the Museum of the Weird at Doombuggies.
Rolly Crump’s fantastic designs for Disneyland’s unbuilt “Museum of the Weird” are the inspiration for an exciting tribute show at Creature Features in Burbank. The exhibit of over 70 pieces of Crump-inspired artwork opens this Saturday evening and runs for only two weeks. Rolly himself will attend the opening reception!
Of course, we couldn’t pass up an opportunity to build something ourselves following one of Rolly’s original drawings. The magical “Tower of the Weird” stands 9.5 feet tall and is made of hand-carved wood painted in acrylic colors, with metal fittings, a pottery cauldron, vintage jewelry hardware, glass and brass beads, 1960s Craft Master crushed stone, Swarovski crystals, and a vintage silk tassel.
